Checking Accreditations

Modified on Thu, 13 Feb at 1:33 PM

It is a mandatory requirement of both NSWRL and NRL for all Coaches and Sports Trainers to be registered and accredited for the position they are performing.

For Coaches, this means that the appointed Head Coach of a team has the relevant age-appropriate accreditation.

For Sports Trainers, it means that the member has the correct accreditation for the role they are performing on match days.

The below outlines the steps a Club Administrator can take to use MySideline to check the accreditation status of all members registered with their club.

Note: For the below methods to work, the member needs to have completed their registration under the correct Member Type.

Pre-Season

As members are registering to your club, and Teams are yet to be formed, the best report for checking Accreditations Status is the Accreditation Report. An Accreditation Report provides a list of all registered participants in the current season who hold an accreditation. The details it provides include:

  • Participants' Details (Name, DOB, NRL ID, IMC ID, etc.)
  • Accreditation Name, Type, Status and Expiry

Tip: An Accreditation Report will pick up all registered members that have an accreditation, including players. Use Excel to filter the data so that you only see the relevant members and accreditations.

In-Season

Once Teams have been generated in MySideline, Club Administrators should begin assigning both players and Team Staff to their relevant teams ahead of the season commencing. Once this task has been completed, the Squad Accreditation becomes the best method of checking accreditation status of Coaches and Sports Trainers.

Note: A Squad Accreditation Report will only display the accreditations of those Team Staff that have been assigned to the Team through Squad Management.

The Squad Accreditation report provides a list of Teams and the Team Staff along with the accreditations they hold. The details this report provides include:

  • Association, Club, Competition, and Team Name
  • Team Age, Competition Type, and Team Type
  • Participants' Details (Name, DOB, NRL ID, Email etc.)
  • Accreditation Name, Type, Status, and Expiry

Tip 1: When running a Squad Accreditation Report for the entire club, leave all report filters blank. This will generate a single report with data from every team within your club's database.

Tip 2: Every accreditation held by an individual will be displayed within the report. Only concern yourself with those relevant to the individual's current role i.e. If an U15s coach has an expired Sports Trainer accreditation, this can be disregarded.
