Pending Registrations

Modified on Thu, 13 Feb at 1:56 PM

When a participant registers into MySideline for the first time, their profile will be in a pending state until their identity is verified by an Administrator. The reason for this is so that the data entered remains authentic and clean and we can endeavour to eliminate duplicate or non-genuine profiles being entered into MySideline.

During the registration process the new participant has the opportunity to enter an ID document which can be Birth Certificate, Drivers Licence or Passport and an identifying photo (head shot). The uploaded document must match the Member being registered. This document is deleted from the database as soon as a profile is verified in line with the NRL Privacy Policy.

Different Leagues will have different policies around who can approve a pending registration, however the process to approve these registrations is as follows:

Step 1: Go to Pending Registrations on the left-hand side menu (listed under Member Management)

Step 2: Select the participant and review their profile, checking the documents uploaded during the registration process as well as an appropriate ID photo has been supplied.

Note: Check that First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth are an exact match to the ID document.

Step 3: Action accordingly using the drop-down menu at the bottom of the screen.

  • If Declining, an email notification will be sent to the member advising it has been declined. They may require assistance in understanding the reason why, so follow up contact is recommended.
  • If Approving, a secondary tick box asking for confirming that everything has been reviewed will appear before the approval can be completed.

Note: Once a pending registration has been approved, it can no longer be set back to Pending.

If a pending participant has not uploaded an ID document or Profile photo during the registration process, they can do so by logging into https://profile.mysideline.com.au/.

  • ID documents can be uploaded in the 'Supporting Documents' section.
  • A profile photo can be added by selecting the camera icon.
